As a Night Concierge Officer, you’ll be the key point of contact overnight, responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Monitor access to the building and ensure site security
- Carry out regular welfare, wellbeing, and health & safety checks
- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- Provide reassurance and support to residents as needed
- Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with procedures
- Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and shift handovers
What we are looking for
- Enhanced DBS (Adult & Child's Workforce)
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Strong communication and basic admin skills
- Previous experience in supported housing, homelessness services, care, security, safeguarding, or a similar environment
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults, young people, or individuals with complex needs
Skills and experience
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation of challenging behaviour
- Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and housing support environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive under pressure
- Confident working independently and on a lone-working basis
- Strong awareness of risk management and professional boundaries
- Ability to produce clear, accurate, and professional reports
- Professional, respectful and non-confrontational approach
